Types of Qatar e-Visa
Tourist Visa (A1): An online travel authorisation valid for 90 days, allowing a
stay of up to 30 days in Qatar. It is a single-entry visa issued for short-term tourism or personal
travel. A 30-day extension may be granted
GCC Resident Visa (A2): Issued under the same validity and stay conditions as a
tourist visa (A1),
restricted to applicants holding a valid GCC residence permit from Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi
Arabia, or the UAE. Extendable for up to 30 days

Both the eVisa types allow the following visit purposes:

Shopping: Taking advantage of Qatar's vibrant shopping scene.

Common Travel Queries
What should I do if the applicant’s travel purpose is not covered by the eVisa?
If the applicant’s travel purpose is not covered, the applicant must apply for the Qatar sticker
visa.
Who can apply for the GCC Resident Visa (A2)?
Only applicants with a valid residence permit from Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, or the
United Arab Emirates are eligible for an A2 Visa.
Is the visa fee the same for both the eVisa?
The Qatar Visa Fee is dependent on several factors that the applicant
must be aware
of before
applying.
Is employment permitted under any of the eVisas?
No. Both visas are intended for short-term visits and do not allow employment in Qatar.
What Happens If the Visa Extension Is Not Approved?
An extension must be applied for through the Qatar Ministry of Interior (MOI). If the extension request
is not approved, the eVisa holder must leave the country before the eVisa expires and apply for a Qatar
eVisa again to re-enter the country
